The anti-ADAM17 pH-dependent antibody (clone ml022C3) is a pH-responsive antibody engineered to target human ADAM17. This pH-switched monoclonal antibody (mAb) was developed by incorporating histidine residues into its variable regions, which results in pH-biased binding to ADAM17. By leveraging the natural pH variations in different tissues and cellular compartments, this pH-responsive antibody facilitates precise targeting of ADAM17 on cells and tissues. Human ADAM17 (A Disintegrin And Metalloproteinase 17), also known as TACE, is a protease that cleaves and activates various cell surface proteins, including TNF-α and EGFR ligands. It is a key player in inflammation, immune signaling, and cancer development.
