SmartAb™ Recombinant Anti-FLT1 pH-dependent Antibody (Clone 15F11)

The anti-FLT1 pH-dependent antibody (clone 15F11) is a recombinant monoclonal antibody that exhibits pH-dependent antigen binding to human FLT1. By introducing histidine mutations that act as a pH-switch, the antibody demonstrates a preferential affinity for FLT1 under acidic conditions compared to physiological pH. Using a yeast surface display system with pH-dependent screening pressure, this mAb is identified which shows a significant increase in dissociation from FLT1 at pH 6.0. This pH-sensitive antibody retains its binding affinity for FLT1 on tumor cells while exhibiting negligible binding to the receptor on normal cells at physiological pH. Human FLT1, also known as VEGFR1, is a receptor tyrosine kinase that binds to vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF). It is a key regulator of angiogenesis and plays a crucial role in the development of the vascular system.
