Rabbit Anti-MPL Recombinant Antibody (clone R03-1C9) (CAT#: VS3-FY1910)

This R03-1C9 recombinant monoclonal antibody was developed to recognize human MPL. It cross-reacts with mouse, rat. The binding specificity of the thrombopoietin receptor antibody was determined using western blot analysis of TPOR/MPL in K562, C6 lysates.

Target

  • Alternative Names
  • MPL Proto-Oncogene, Thrombopoietin Receptor; Myeloproliferative Leukemia Virus Oncogene; Myeloproliferative Leukemia Protein; Proto-Oncogene C-Mpl; TPO-R; TPOR; Thrombopoietin Receptor
  • Sequence Similarities
  • Belongs to the type I cytokine receptor family. Type 1 subfamily.
  • Cellular Localization
  • Cell membrane, Golgi apparatus, Membrane
  • Post Translation Modifications
  • Ubiquitination at Lys-553 and Lys-573 targets MPL for degradation by both the lysosomal and proteasomal pathways.
The E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase CBL significantly contributes to this ubiquitination.
  • Function
  • Receptor for thrombopoietin that acts as a primary regulator of megakaryopoiesis and platelet production. May represent a regulatory molecule specific for TPO-R-dependent immune responses.
