Mouse Anti-GD2 Recombinant Antibody (clone ME36.1) (CAT#: PABZ-049)

Recombinant Mouse Antibody (ME36. 1) is capable of binding to GD2, expressed in Chinese Hamster Ovary cells (CHO). The ME36. 1 monoclonal antibody binds to the GD2 ganglioside and has shown potential as a therapeutic antibody. ME36. 1 is a possible alternative therapy to radiation, which is often ineffective in late-stage melanoma.

Second antibody, ¹²⁵I labeled goat anti-mouse IgG, was used at 10⁶ cpm/mL. Radioactivity was counted after removal of relevant TLC areas as described. Gangliosides are quantitated and expressed as nanograms of total molecule.

Concentration of gangliosides is based on titration of their known quantities in overlay assay with ME36.1, as shown in fig. 1. GD2 and GD3 in serum samples from patient No. 13 are represented before (upper asterisk-labeled dots in both panels) and after (lower asterisk-labeled dots) immunotherapy with ME36.1.

Immunostaining of gangliosides separated on TLC. Lanes A-E, gangliosides extracted from sera of normal donors; lanes F and G, those from patient No. 13 before and after treatment with ME36.1, respectively; lanes H-O, gangliosides from melanoma patients in active phase of disease. Each lane represents gangliosides extracted from 60 μL of serum.
