anti-ITGA4 immunotoxin 15A8 (IgG)-Gel (CAT#: AGTO-L029G)
This immunotoxin was achieved by conjugating/fusing the Anti-ITGA4 monoclonal antibody to gelonin. It was expressed in CHO and purified with affinity chromatography. The immunotoxin selectively binds to breast cancer cells. Once bind, the toxin enters cells by receptor-mediated endocytosis, then gelonin inhibits protein synthesis by damaging the 60S subunit of mammalian ribosomes. It was designed for treatment of breast cancer.

- Gelonin is a glycoprotein (M.W. approximately 29-30, 000 Kd) purified from the seeds of Gelonium multiforum and belongs to a class of potent ribosomal-inactivating plant toxins. Gelonin, like abrin and ricin, inhibits protein synthesis by damaging the 60S subunit of mammalian ribosomes.
