Specificity of anti-Ab1)42 globulomer antibodies against diverse Ab forms was determined by dot-blot immunoassay. Ab1)42 globulomer-specific antibodies 5598 and 8F5 (lower panel) recognize predominantly Ab1)42 globulomer forms and not standard preparations of Ab1)40 or Ab1)42 including aggregated Ab1)42 in contrast to unspecific antibodies 6G1 and 6E10 (upper panel).
