The anti-CCR5 recombinant antibody (CC506) reacts with human and rat CCR5. CCR5 is a chemokine receptor for CCL3, CCL4, and CCL5, mainly expressed on T-cells and macrophages. It is famously known as the coreceptor for HIV-1 entry. The Δ32 mutation in CCR5 confers resistance to HIV infection. It also mediates inflammatory cell recruitment. The anti-CCR5 antibody (CC506) has been tested in Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry (FC) and Western Blot (WB).
