Background
This is an antibody directed against the CD48 antigen has a strong anti-tumour effect in an animal model. The anti-tumour effect has been demonstrated in an animal model where treatment of mice containing tumour cells with an anti-CD48 antibody gave long term survival (cures) over those treated with a control antibody.
