Anti-fibroblast activation proteinα-SMCC-DM1 ADC (CAT#: ADC-161LZY)
This ADC product is composed of an anti-fibroblast activation proteinα antibody conjugated via SMCC linker to DM1 (anti-fibroblast activation proteinα-SMCC-DM1). It has demonstrated a response in Lung, pancreas, head and neck cancers treatment by a MOA (Mechanism of Action) of microtubules depolymerizing.

Specifications
- Linker
- SMCC (4-[N-maleimidomethyl] cyclohexane-1 carboxylhydrazide).
- Linker Class/Description
- Class: Noncleavable linker
Description: Noncleavable linker is considered noncleavable-meaning linker cleavage, and payload release does not depend on the differential properties between the plasma and some cytoplasmic compartments. Instead, the release of the cytotoxic drug is postulated to occur after internalization of the ADC via antigen-mediated endocytosis and delivery to lysosomal compartment, where the antibody is degraded to the level of amino acids through intracellular proteolytic degradation
- Drug
- DM1(N2'-deacetyl-N2'-(3-mercapto-1-oxopropyl)-maytansine)
- Drug Class/Description
- Class: Maytansinoid
Description: Maytansinoids are a group of cytotoxins structurally similar to rifamycin, geldanamycin, and ansatrienin. The eponymous natural cytotoxic agent maytansine is a 19-member lactam (ansa
macrolide) structure originally isolated from the Ethiopian shrub Maytenus ovatus. Maytansinoids can bind to tubulin at or near the vinblastine-binding site, which interfere the formation of microtubules and depolymerize already formed microtubules, inducing mitotic arrest in the intoxicated cells
Target
- Introduction
- The protein encoded by this gene is a homodimeric integral membrane gelatinase belonging to the serine protease family. It is selectively expressed in reactive stromal fibroblasts of epithelial cancers, granulation tissue of healing wounds, and malignant cells of bone and soft tissue sarcomas. This protein is thought to be involved in the control of fibroblast growth or epithelial-mesenchymal interactions during development, tissue repair, and epithelial carcinogenesis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Apr 2014]
- Alternative Names
- FAP; fibroblast activation protein, alpha; FAPA; SIMP; DPPIV; prolyl endopeptidase FAP; seprase; FAPalpha; dipeptidyl peptidase FAP; surface-expressed protease; post-proline cleaving enzyme; gelatine degradation protease FAP; integral membrane serine protease; serine integral membrane protease; 170 kDa melanoma membrane-bound gelatinase;
- Gene ID
- 2191
- UniProt ID
- B4DLR2
