    Recombinant Anti-IL1B Biparatopic Antibody, Tandem scFv

    This biparatopic antibody (bpAb) targets two distinct IL1B epitopes with high affinity via its tandem scFv arms. One scFv binds an epitope including Glu 64, Gln 38, Lys 65, Asp 35, and Ser 258 within the IL-1 beta epitope. The other scFv recognizes a distinct epitope from amino acids 63 to 66. These two antibody clones differ in their binding mode and epitope location on IL-1 beta, leading to distinct mechanisms of IL-1beta signaling inhibition.

    • Introduction
    • Produced by activated macrophages, IL1 stimulates thymocyte proliferation by inducing IL2 release, B-cell maturation and proliferation, and fibroblast growth factor activity. IL1 proteins are involved in the inflammatory response, being identified as endogenous pyrogens, and are reported to stimulate the release of prostaglandin and collagenase from synovial cells.
