Recombinant Mouse Anti-EGF Capture Antibody (clone 6B8) (CAT#: VS3-WK1664)
This antibody is a mouse recombinant antibody against human EGF. The sandwich ELISA was established using matched antibody pair 6B8 and 5B3. The clone 6B8 can be used in ELISA analysis as a capture antibody at a dilution of 1/1000. It can also used in WB analysis at a dilution of 1/500-1000. It was developed by immunization of mouse with recombinant human EGF protein and then was produced as a recombinant antibody. The isotype of this product is mouse IgG1.
We specialize in custom recombinant antibody production, offering seamless execution from provided sequences to high-quality antibody deliverables, ensuring optimal yield and purity.

- Post Translation Modifications
- O-glycosylated with core 1-like and core 2-like glycans. It is uncertain if Ser-954 or Thr-955 is O-glycosylated. The modification here shows glycan heterogeneity: HexHexNAc (major) and Hex2HexNAc2 (minor).

- Function
- EGF stimulates the growth of various epidermal and epithelial tissues in vivo and in vitro and of some fibroblasts in cell culture. Magnesiotropic hormone that stimulates magnesium reabsorption in the renal distal convoluted tubule via engagement of EGFR and activation of the magnesium channel TRPM6. Can induce neurite outgrowth in motoneurons of the pond snail Lymnaea stagnalis in vitro.
