The anti-TGFB1 eliminating antibody is an engineered pH-sensitive antibody against human TGFB1. TGFB1 forms receptor complexes to activate SMAD transcription factors, playing roles in cellular processes like growth regulation. The antibody has a novel TGFB1-sweeping activity in vivo, which selectively eliminatesthe soluble TGFB1 from plasma. Compared to conventional antibody, the mAb exerted in vivo efficacy by simultaneously engineering both pH-dependent antigen binding, to mimic the pH-dependent receptor-ligand binding of such endocytic receptors, and increased FcRn binding affinity at neutral pH, to mimic the cell-bound form of the receptors.
