The anti-F3 pH-dependent antibody (VS-0825-YC121) is a pH-responsive antibody engineered to target human F3. This pH-switched monoclonal antibody (mAb) was developed by incorporating histidine residues into its variable regions, which results in pH-biased binding to F3. By leveraging the natural pH variations in different tissues and cellular compartments, this pH-responsive antibody facilitates precise targeting of F3 on cells and tissues. Human F3, or Tissue Factor, is a transmembrane protein that is the primary initiator of the extrinsic coagulation pathway. It binds to Factor VIIa, leading to the activation of Factor X and the subsequent formation of a blood clot.
