The anti-FGFR3 pH-dependent antibody (clone PRO-001) is a pH-responsive antibody engineered to target both human and mouse FGFR3. This pH-switched monoclonal antibody (mAb) was developed by incorporating histidine residues into its variable regions, which results in pH-biased binding to FGFR3. By leveraging the natural pH variations in different tissues and cellular compartments, this pH-responsive antibody facilitates precise targeting of FGFR3 on cells and tissues. FGFR3 proteins are receptor tyrosine kinases that play a role in bone and cartilage development. Mutations in the human FGFR3 gene cause various skeletal dysplasias, and its aberrant activation is linked to bladder and other cancers.
