Anti-EDB Antibody-Cytokine Fusion Protein, GM-CSF-scFv (L19)-scFv (L19)-GM-CSF

This antibody-cytokine fusion protein was achieved by conjugating/fusing the Anti-EDB scFv to GM-CSF. It was expressed in CHO and purified with affinity chromatography. The immunocytokine retains the ability to bind the EDB as well as the biological activity of GM-CSF. The antibody-cytokine fusion protein improves the pharmacokinetic properties and the avidity of due to its bivalent nature. The fusion protein has the capacity to enhance the tumoricidal activity of the antibodies and/or activate a secondary antitumor immune response. This immunocytokine was designed for treating Advanced solid tumors, Advanced pancreatic cancer, Metastatic melanoma.

- Granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), also known as colony stimulating factor 2 (CSF2), is a monomeric glycoprotein secreted by macrophages, T cells, mast cells, NK cells, endothelial cells and fibroblasts that functions as a cytokine. The pharmaceutical analogs of naturally occurring GM-CSF are called molgramostim.
