Anti-Human GCGR Recombinant Antibody Fab Fragment (mAb5) (CAT#: TAB-063CQ-F(E))
The antibody recognizes a functional epitope on human glucagon receptor and can be used to lower glucose levels in blood. It can be potentially used in the prevention and treatment of glucose-related disorders, including diabetes, hyperglycemia, hyperinsulinemia and so on.
We specialize in custom recombinant antibody production, offering seamless execution from provided sequences to high-quality antibody deliverables, ensuring optimal yield and purity.

- Cell Based Functional Assay
cAMP signaling was measured in a CHO cell line stably transfected with human glucagon receptor, using a LANCE® cAMP kit. Cells were added to a 96-well plate and incubated with serially diluted mAb5. Cells were then stimulated with 200 pM glucagon for 30 minutes at room temperature (RT). Detection antibody was then added and incubated for 10 minutes at RT. Cells were then lysed with supplied detection buffer and incubated in the dark for 3 hours at RT. The plate was then read on a VICTOR3™ plate reader. As the readout of this assay is based on competition between a labeled, exogenous cAMP (measured at 665 nm) and unlabeled, endogenously generated cAMP, higher signals indicate less cAMP generated by the cells. mAb5 inhibits cAMP generation in a dose-dependent fashion.
