Anti-EpCAM Antibody-Cytokine Fusion Protein, GM-CSF-FAB (L19) (CAT#: ACFP-SH049)
This antibody-cytokine fusion protein was achieved by conjugating/fusing the Anti-EpCAM FAB to GM-CSF. It was expressed in CHO and purified with affinity chromatography. The immunocytokine retains the ability to bind the EpCAM as well as the biological activity of GM-CSF. This fusion protein was directed against EpCAM and induced tumor cell lysis in vitro, which was dependent on the presence of the cytokine. Thus, GM-CSF activated PBMCs to lyse tumor cells, while IL-2 redirected lysis by T cells. This immunocytokine was designed for treating solid tumor.

- Granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), also known as colony stimulating factor 2 (CSF2), is a monomeric glycoprotein secreted by macrophages, T cells, mast cells, NK cells, endothelial cells and fibroblasts that functions as a cytokine. The pharmaceutical analogs of naturally occurring GM-CSF are called molgramostim.
