This product targets cell surface glycoprotein 2 by binding to monoclonal antibodies, enable specific internalization. The binding of the antibodies allows these positively charged lipoplexes to be selectively taken up by cells expressing the corresponding antigen. Research indicates that the internalization of lipoplexes is influenced by their surface charge rather than the concentration of polymer conjugates. This specific internalization mechanism enhances the potential of lipoplexes in gene transfection, allowing for more efficient delivery of DNA into target cells.
