CD1D1

CDd1 is one of many members of the CD1 family, which is highly expressed in thymus cells, b-cell subsets, dendritic cells subsets, and a class of non-polypeptide |-derived transmembrane glycoproteins with antigen-presenting functions similar to MHC I molecules. The specific antigens of lipids and glycolipids can mediate specific activation of NKT cells through CDld. Activated by CDd1 molecules, NKT cells have anti-tumor, anti-virus and anti-pathogen effects. Therefore, NKT cells have become a research hotspot in China and abroad. It was found that the activation of T cells existed in the dual signaling mechanism, and CDd1 was the only protein molecule present in human and mouse.
