Inflammatory Cell

Inflammatory cells constitute the diverse array of immune cells that are recruited to sites of infection, injury, or irritation, or that reside within tissues, and collectively orchestrate the body's inflammatory response. These cells are indispensable components of both the innate and adaptive immune systems, working in concert to eliminate harmful stimuli, clear cellular debris, and initiate tissue repair. While their presence is crucial for acute, protective inflammation, their prolonged or dysregulated activity underlies chronic inflammatory diseases.
