Background
petH, or Ferredoxin--NADP reductase (FNR), is an enzyme that catalyzes the reversible electron transfer between ferredoxin and NADP⁺. In photosynthetic organisms, FNR provides NADPH for carbon fixation (Calvin cycle) by reducing NADP⁺ with electrons from ferredoxin. It is a crucial enzyme linking the light and dark reactions of photosynthesis.
