Immunolabelling assay was performed using antibodies that recognize specific conformational states of β1 integrin: 12G10 and 9EG7 antibodies against the ligand-bound state (n = 3 independent experiments for each antibody) and mAb13 antibody against the non-ligand-bound state (n=3 independent experiments). For fibronectin, a Cy3-labelled 50K fragment (FN-50K–Cy3) was used (graph represents n=3 independent experiments). Means ± s.d. Insets indicate the Golgi compartment.

Co-localization of different integrins and conformational states of β1 integrin with the vps35 subunit of retromer (means ± s.d.; a representative of 2 independent experiments is shown). The RGB profiler plugin from ImageJ was used to plot co-localization. Quantifications show Manders' co-localization coefficient.
