This product is a mouse monoclonal antibody against SLC20A2, solute carrier family 20 member 2. SLC20A2 is a member of the inorganic phosphate transporter family. It is a sodium-dependent transporter of organic anions and plays an important role in phosphate homeostasis. It is also suggested to confer susceptibility to viral infection as a gamma-retroviral receptor. Mutations in this gene may play a role in familial idiopathic basal ganglia calcification. This antibody, specific for human antigens and applicable in ELISA, helps in studying the transport functions of SLC20A2 and its potential role in phosphate metabolism and related neurological disorders.
