GeneSpark™ Human CXXC1 Exon 1 Primers (VS-0725-FY69)
CAT#: VS-0725-FY69
The Human CXXC1 Exon 1 Primers offer a precise tool for amplifying DNA obtained through chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP). This product provides a pre-mixed set of forward and reverse PCR primers specifically targeting exon 1 of the human CXXC1 gene, also known as CFPD1 or WDR80. CXXC1 is a subunit of the MLL1/MLL4 histone methyltransferase complexes, playing a key role in epigenetic regulation and gene activation. Targeting an exonic region can be useful for assessing gene body chromatin marks or RNA polymerase presence. These primers are optimized for use in SYBR® Green quantitative real-time PCR and are validated with Enzymatic Chromatin IP Kits and ChIP-validated antibodies.
Specifications
- Application
- ChIP
- Application Notes
- Primers are crucial in Chromatin Immunoprecipitation (ChIP) assays. They function as precise probes designed to identify and quantify specific DNA sequences that have been enriched during the immunoprecipitation process. This targeted detection is essential for uncovering and mapping protein-DNA interactions, providing critical insights into gene regulation and chromatin structure. Essentially, primers enable researchers to pinpoint exactly where proteins bind to DNA.
- Workflow
- 1. Label PCR tubes/plates for duplicates, no-DNA control, and a 2% total input chromatin DNA serial dilution.
2. Add 2 μl ChIP DNA sample per well/tube.
3. Prepare and add 18 μl master PCR reaction mix (Nuclease-free H2O, Primers, SYBR® Green).
4. Run 40 cycles of PCR: 95°C for 3 min; then 95°C for 15 sec, primer-specific temp for 60 sec (repeated).
5. Analyze results with real-time PCR software.
- Size
- 0.5 mL
