The rabies virus genome is a single stranded negative-strand RNA non-segmented, is about 12KB, each encoding an enzyme protein (L), glycoprotein (G), matrix protein (M), phosphoprotein (P), nucleoprotein (N) five major structural protein. Wherein, G protein and N protein contained multiple antigenic sites, capable of inducing antibodies against rabies virus. Phosphoprotein virus RNA polymerase cofactor, tightly wrapping the viral genomic RNA and nucleoprotein complex with viral L protein thereof. This protein is a phosphoprotein necessary intermediary composite body, it is an aspect of the polymerase L protein mediates correct positioning of N-RNA template, on the other hand it plays a chaperone function, to form a complex which binds to a cell to prevent the RNA and facilitate its transfer to the viral RNA packaging into a new RNPs. Phosphoprotein is a multifunctional protein, in addition to having a certain function in viral RNA synthesis, but also capable of interacting with STAT1, and suppression of interferon signaling pathway, to overcome the antiviral response of the infected cells against host innate immune response, is a key regulator of the innate immune response. Phosphoprotein escape virus, viral transcription and replication in both inner cell motility plays a role, as is also possible clinical viral infection sera antigen.
