NADPH-Cytochrome P450 reductase is a microsomal component important for transferring reducing equivalents from NADPH to microsomal heme oxygenase isoenzymes (HO-1 and HO-2), various cytochrome P450 isozymes Enzymes as well as cytochromes c and b5 are essential. Cytochrome P450 reductases have been identified in various species with molecular weights ranging from 76-81kDa. This enzyme contains a short hydrophobic N-terminus that anchors it to the endoplasmic reticulum and nuclear membrane.
