This product is a recombinant chimeric anti-HTLV-IIIMN monoclonal antibody. Reshaped μ39.1 specifically binds to gp120 and can be potentially used in the treatment of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), a condition in humans characterized by clinical features including wasting syndromes, central nervous system degeneration and profound immunosuppression that results in life-threatening opportunistic infections and malignancies.
