Mouse Anti-ASRGL1 Recombinant Antibody (clone CRASH/1290) (CAT#: VS-0625-FY16)

This Mouse IgG1 monoclonal antibody, clone CRASH/1290, is designed for detecting human ASRGL1. Its immunogen is a synthetic peptide of human ASRGL1, with an epitope spanning amino acids 1400-1490. ASRGL1 is a 308 amino acid Ntn-hydrolase, expressed in various tissues. With an observed antigen size of 17-25 kDa, this antibody is validated for ELISA, providing a reliable tool for ASRGL1 research.

Target

  • Alternative Names
  • Asparaginase Like 1; Asparaginase-Like 1 Protein; Asparaginase-Like Protein 1; L-Asparagine Amidohydrolase; Isoaspartyl Dipeptidase; Beta-Aspartyl-Peptidase; EC 3.5.1.1; CRASH
  • Long Name
  • Asparaginase Like 1
  • Sequence Similarities
  • Belongs to the Ntn-hydrolase family.
  • Cellular Localization
  • Cytoplasm
  • Post Translation Modifications
  • Cleaved into an alpha and beta chain by autocatalysis; this activates the enzyme.
The N-terminal residue of the beta subunit is responsible for the nucleophile hydrolase activity.
  • Function
  • Has both L-asparaginase and beta-aspartyl peptidase activity.
May be involved in the production of L-aspartate, which can act as an excitatory neurotransmitter in some brain regions.
Is highly active with L-Asp beta-methyl ester.
Besides, has catalytic activity toward beta-aspartyl dipeptides and their methyl esters, including beta-L-Asp-L-Phe, beta-L-Asp-L-Phe methyl ester (aspartame), beta-L-Asp-L-Ala, beta-L-Asp-L-Leu and beta-L-Asp-L-Lys.
Does not have aspartylglucosaminidase activity and is inactive toward GlcNAc-L-Asn.
Likewise, has no activity toward glutamine.
