The antibody LaM-4 is an anti-mCherry VHH sdAb which binds to GFP with high affinity. The LaM-4 also binds to standard DsRed, which has approximately 80% sequence identity to mCherry.

An S. cerevisiae strain with mCherry-tagged histone H2B was fixed and permeabilized, then directly stained with LaM-4 conjugated to Alexa Fluor® 488. Yeast were visualized in the green channels.
