This product is a recombinant mouse antibody clone ALl-2, which specifically binds to Polycation.
Figure 1 Binding of the mAb to cationic antigens.
After its initial purification, mAb ALl-2 was dissolved in PBS containing 3 M NaCl and re-purified on to a recombinant protein G-agarose column. After washing the column with PBS containing 3 M NaCI, the mAb was eluted in 0.1 M glycine-HCl pH 2.8 and dialysed against standard PBS (0.15 M NaCl). This procedure rids mAb from potential contaminants present in the culture medium such as DNA. mAb (before and after 3 M NaCl treatment) was then tested against several cationic antigens. mAb was used at 0.2 μg/ml ALI-2 in the assay.

Figure 2 Inhibition of mAb binding to poly-L-lysine by pre-incubation with polycations in solution.
In this assay, the mAb at constant concentration (0.25 μg/ml for ALl-2) was pre-incubated in solution with varying concentrations of poly-L-lysine, poly-L-arginine or spermidine-BSA. The mixtures were then added onto poly-L-lysine-coated plates and the remainder of the ELISA was conducted. The results are expressed as percent inhibition of the binding measured in the absence of competitor.
