Rat Anti-SMTSP2 Recombinant Antibody (clone T1)

The antibody clone T1 was produced by immunizing rat with recombinant protein corresponding to S. mansoni immunogenic protein SmTsp2. Western blotting with a pool of T1 recognizes an apical membrane protein of similar but not identical molecular weight to Sm23 that is expected to be native SmTsp2. It can be used for detection of S. mansoni SmTsp2 in ELISA and WB assays.

MBP-fusion protein were separated by a 12% PAGE-SDS, incubated overnight with scFv and detected with anti-E-tag mAb. Lane 1 contains purified Sm23/MBP, Lane 2 contains purified SmTsp2/MBP.

Lane 1 used a control rat scFv. Lane 2 used a pool of scFvs S1 and S3. Lane 3 used a pool of scFvs T1 and T2. The tegumental extract was resolved by 12% PAGE-SDS. Bound scFv was detected with anti-E-tag mAb.
