GeneSpark™ Human NFE2L2 Intron 1 Primers (VS-0725-FY67)
CAT#: VS-0725-FY67
The Human NFE2L2 Intron 1 Primers offer a reliable tool for amplifying DNA isolated via chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP). This product features a pre-mixed set of forward and reverse PCR primers specifically targeting intron 1 of the human NFE2L2 (Nuclear Factor, Erythroid 2 Like 2) gene, also known as Nrf2. Nrf2 is a master regulator of antioxidant and detoxification responses. Investigating intronic regions can provide insights into chromatin state or transcriptional elongation. These primers are optimized for use in SYBR® Green quantitative real-time PCR and have been thoroughly validated with Enzymatic Chromatin IP Kits and ChIP-validated antibodies.
Specifications
- Application
- ChIP
- Application Notes
- In ChIP assays, primers function as precise detectors, facilitating the identification and quantification of specific DNA sequences that have been enriched through immunoprecipitation. This process is instrumental in illuminating protein-DNA binding events.
- Workflow
- 1. Label PCR tubes/plates for duplicates, no-DNA control, and a 2% total input chromatin DNA serial dilution.
2. Add 2 μl ChIP DNA sample per well/tube.
3. Prepare and add 18 μl master PCR reaction mix (Nuclease-free H2O, Primers, SYBR® Green).
4. Run 40 cycles of PCR: 95°C for 3 min; then 95°C for 15 sec, primer-specific temp for 60 sec (repeated).
5. Analyze results with real-time PCR software.
- Size
- 0.5 mL
- Components
- These primers are supplied in nuclease-free water at a precise 5 μM concentration for each individual primer, ensuring accurate and contamination-free experimental setup.
- Biological Samples
- Human
- Storage
- Store at -20°C.
Target
- Full Name
- Nuclear Factor, Erythroid 2 Like 2
- Introduction
- This gene encodes a transcription factor which is a member of a small family of basic leucine zipper (bZIP) proteins. The encoded transcription factor regulates genes which contain antioxidant response elements (ARE) in their promoters; many of these genes encode proteins involved in response to injury and inflammation which includes the production of free radicals. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been characterized for this gene.
- Alternative Names
- Nuclear Factor, Erythroid 2 Like 2; NF-E2-Related Factor 2; HEBP1; NRF2; Nuclear Factor (Erythroid-Derived 2)-Like 2; Nuclear Factor Erythroid 2-Related Factor 2
- Gene ID
- 4780
- UniProt ID
- Q16236
