Background
CD2: Encodes a cell adhesion molecule on T and NK cells. It mediates cell-cell interactions and signal transduction. The protein is essential for immune activation and cytotoxic responses. Dysregulation impairs immune function.
EGFR: Functions as a receptor tyrosine kinase controlling cell growth and differentiation. It activates multiple signaling cascades upon ligand binding. The protein is widely expressed in epithelial tissues. Mutations drive oncogenesis.
