Staphylococcal enterotoxin B is produced by certain staphylococcal staphylococcal staphylotoxin strains in food. Staphylococcal enterotoxin B is characterized by sudden attacks and sometimes violent episodes of severe nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, diarrhea and collapse. The incubation period is usually 2-4h and the mortality rate is very low.

Research on SEB has been ongoing since its discovery in 1945. It has been reported that the staphylococcus aureus infection model is used to observe the effect of SEB monoclonal antibody on cytokine induction and organ function in scald sepsis rats. It can activate T cells in a large number at a very low concentration and significantly increase the pro-inflammatory cytokine TNF-a, which plays an important role in the occurrence and development of inflammation. SEB content in plasma and tissues of animals infected by staphylococcus aureus after scalding is significantly high, and multi-organ damage is obvious. SEB activity is significantly reduced after intravenous injection of SEB monoclonal antibody, and multi-organ damage is significantly improved. Therefore, the use of SEB monoclonal antibodies is very important in the prevention and treatment of sepsis caused by staphylococcus aureus infection.
