Mouse Anti-Bla g 2 Recombinant Antibody (clone 7C11) (CAT#: HPAB-S0180-YC)

The crystal structure of a 1:1 complex between the German cockroach allergen Bla g 2 and the Fab′ fragment of a monoclonal antibody 7C11 was solved at 2.8-Å resolution. Bla g 2 binds to the antibody through four loops that include residues 60-70, 83-86, 98-100, and 129-132. The epitope for mAb 7C11 is important surface determinants overlapping with IgE antibody binding sites and inhibit IgE antibody binding.

Increasing concentrations of mAb 7C11 showed dose dependent inhibition of IgE antibody binding of up to 40%.

Polyclonal anti-Bla g 2 antibody binding to the allergen monomer was very similar for the allergen presented by either mAb 7C11 or 4C3.

The ability of both phage clones to inhibit the binding of rBla g 2 to 7C11 was similar, confirming that these two peptides bind to mAb 7C11 with similar specificity and affinities.
