This product is a recombinant human antibody Kp3 that recognizes K. pneumoniae MrkA.
Figure 1 Monoclonal antibodies isolated through phage and hybridoma platforms display K. pneumoniae binding and potent OPK activity.
Biotin-labeled hybridoma IgG2a (88D10 and 89E10) and phage antibodies IgG1 (KP3 and KP16) bind to K. pneumoniae strain 29011 in ELISA assays. Streptavidin-HRP was used as the detecting agent.

Figure 3 Recombinant and in vitro transcription and translation of MrkA.
Recombinant expression of MrkA. MrkA ORF of strain MGH78578 was cloned and expressed in BL21 cells. Lysates were subjected to Western blot analysis using both anti-his tag (left panel) and KP3 (right panel). Lane 1, host cell only; Lane 2, host cell transformed with empty vector; Lane 3, host cell transformed with expression vector carrying his-tagged MrkA ORF; Lane 4, lysate prepared from strain 43816DM.

Figure 4 KP3 mAb displayed protective activity in various in vivo models.
KP3 at 15 mg/kg reduced organ burden in intranasal lung infection model against Kp29011 (O1:K2). An irrelevant human IgG1 antibody was used as control.
