Human Anti-GPRV scFv-Fc Chimera (VS-0125-FY86) (CAT#: VS-0125-FY86)
Recombinant human antibody molecules targeting the glycoprotein antigen of rabies virus (GPRV) were constructed in the form of single-chain variable fragments (scFv). In a standard in vivo neutralization assay, we found that two scFv-Fc fusion proteins were able to effectively neutralize the PV11 virus strain. This was validated through intracranial inoculation experiments in mice after co-incubating the virus with the scFv-Fc molecules. These anti-GPRV scFv-Fc molecules demonstrate great potential as alternatives to existing human rabies immune globulin (HRIG) in post-exposure prophylaxis.
