SLAMF6, also known as Ly9, is a member of the signaling lymphocytic activation molecule (SLAM) family. It is a transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on lymphocytes, including T cells, B cells, and natural killer (NK) cells. Structurally, SLAMF6 has an extracellular domain with two immunoglobulin - like domains, a transmembrane region, and a cytoplasmic tail that contains immunoreceptor tyrosine - based switch motifs (ITSMs).
