Competition of m36 with a CD4i antibody (IgG m16) for binding to gp120Bal-CD4. The CD4bs antibody m14 was used as a negative control.

Sulfation does not contribute to gp120 association. Antibody and gp120/CD4 complexes were immunoprecipi-tated with protein A-Sepharose and analyzed by SDS-PAGE. With the functionally sulfated E51, such ST-shRNA treatment reduces binding by 6- to 8-fold.
