Pregnancy-associated glycoproteins (PAGs) are a family of highly glycosylated proteins found in the placenta of mammals. They play significant roles in maternal-fetal interactions, contributing to immunological tolerance, nutrient transport, and regulation of various maternal physiological processes during pregnancy. The expression of PAGs can be used as biomarkers for pregnancy in various species, including humans, ruminants, and mouse models.
