Anti-HER2/neu Antibody-Cytokine Fusion Protein, IgG (L19)-GM-CSF (CAT#: ACFP-SH047)
This antibody-cytokine fusion protein was achieved by conjugating/fusing the Anti-HER2/neu IgG to GM-CSF. It was expressed in CHO and purified with affinity chromatography. The immunocytokine retains the ability to bind the HER2/neu as well as the biological activity of GM-CSF. Pharmacokinetic studies showed that anti-HER2/neu IgG3-(GM-CSF) is stable in the blood. In addition, anti-HER2/neu IgG3-(GM-CSF) was able to target the HER2/neu-expressing tumor and enhance the immune response against the targeted Ag HER2/neu. Anti-HER2/neu IgG3-(GM-CSF) is able to enhance both Th1-and Th2-mediated immune responses. This immunocytokine was designed for treating HER-2/neu over-expressing cancer.

- Granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor (GM-CSF), also known as colony stimulating factor 2 (CSF2), is a monomeric glycoprotein secreted by macrophages, T cells, mast cells, NK cells, endothelial cells and fibroblasts that functions as a cytokine. The pharmaceutical analogs of naturally occurring GM-CSF are called molgramostim.
