High Specificity for Alpha Chains
We required a secondary antibody that would strictly recognize human IgA without cross-reacting with other immunoglobulin classes. This Goat Anti-Human IgA fulfilled that requirement perfectly. In our Western Blots, it specifically highlighted the heavy (alpha) chains, providing clean results that were easy to interpret for our mucosal immunity project.
Low Background in ELISA
This affinity-purified antibody is excellent for ELISA applications. We used it to detect purified Human IgA, and the signal-to-noise ratio was outstanding. The liquid format with PBS and preservative is convenient, and it has remained stable in our -20°C freezer for months without any precipitation or loss of binding activity.
