This product is a tetramer of biotinylated peptide/MHC complex with streptavidin mainly composed of human GPR143 of peptide LYSACFWWL covering 126-134 and A*24:02 molecule. The pMHC tetramer recognizes CD8 T cells, and can be used in the analysis of individual antigen-specific T cells.

Mutations in this gene cause ocular albinism type 1, also referred to as Nettleship-Falls type ocular albinism, a severe visual disorder. A related pseudogene has been identified on chromosome Y.
