The antibody targets the Aspartate β-hydroxylase (ASPH) protein, also known as aspartyl/asparaginyl beta-hydroxylase (AAH). This protein is a type II transmembrane protein that is predominantly expressed during embryogenesis and re-expressed in various cancers. Anti-ASPH scFv-Fc is a recombinant fusion protein designed for potential therapeutic and diagnostic applications, particularly in cancer. It combines the specificity of a single-chain variable fragment (scFv) that targets ASPH (Aspartate β-hydroxylase) with the effector functions and extended half-life provided by an immunoglobulin Fc region. This chimeric structure offers high binding affinity to its antigen, improved stability, and can mediate immune responses like ADCC/CDC, similar to full antibodies, while maintaining a smaller size for potentially better tissue penetration. It holds promise for targeted therapy and imaging.
