The anti-TSST-1 scFv-Fc fusion protein is an engineered therapeutic designed to neutralize Toxic Shock Syndrome Toxin-1 (TSST-1), a superantigen produced by Staphylococcus aureus. This protein combines a single-chain variable fragment (scFv) for high-affinity targeting of TSST-1, with an Fc domain to enhance stability and prolong its systemic half-life. By binding and neutralizing TSST-1, this protein aims to mitigate the excessive immune response and cytokine storm associated with toxic shock syndrome.
