Application Notes
The function of anti-BoNT/A scFv-Fc primarily involves neutralizing the neuromuscular dysfunction caused by botulinum toxin A (BoNT/A). Specifically, these antibodies achieve this by inhibiting the endopeptidase activity of BoNT/A, thereby preventing the toxin from damaging the nerves and delaying or averting the muscle paralysis associated with botulism. The binding of these antibodies effectively neutralizes the toxin, helping to restore normal neuromuscular function.
