IL13

IL13 is a cytokine involved in the regulation of immune responses, particularly in allergic reactions and asthma. It promotes the differentiation of B cells, leading to the production of IgE antibodies, which are central to allergic reactions. IL13 also plays a key role in the pathogenesis of diseases like asthma and other allergic conditions by promoting inflammation and tissue remodeling. IL13 works in synergy with other cytokines, such as IL4, to drive Th2-type immune responses. Dysregulated IL13 production is associated with a variety of allergic diseases and conditions like asthma.
