ScFv1-PEG-scFv2 Bispecific Antibody (BsAb)

ScFv1-PEG-scFv2 is one of the popular bispecific antibody (BsAb) conjugate formats. Creative Biolabs can provide the production service of scFv1-PEG-scFv2 BsAb for our customers.

Addition of functionalities into the crosslinker Figure: Addition of functionalities into the crosslinker

During the generation of BsAbs, it is possible to add new functionalities via cross-linkers. ScFv1-PEG-scFv2 BsAb is such a kind of BsAb that consists of two scFvs (single chain fragment variable) targeting two different antigens and a cross-linker containing PEG. Thus, this type of BsAb has three reactive groups, two scFv reactive groups and a PEG. The introduction of PEG into cross-linker has many advantages. Firstly, the risks of inactivating the antibody and the heterogeneity of the product are reduced due to its site-specific manner. Furthermore, it can extend the antibody’s half-life. Besides PEG, some other molecules can also be introduced such as antibody fragments, peptides, siRNA, toxic drugs or fluorophores.

Creative Biolabs has experienced experts in generating bispecific antibody conjugates including IgG-IgG BsAb, Cov-X-body and scFv1-PEG-scFv2 BsAb.
