Appended IgGs is a main class of IgG-like bispecific molecules which are produced via connecting the N and/or C terminal of either light and/or heavy chains with additional antigen-binding units, including paired antibody variable domains like Fv or scFv, unpaired VL or VH, or engineered protein scaffolds. Compared with other bispecific antibodies, they have some important merits: firstly, the IgG molecules Fc region not only facilitates the purification but also improves the solubility and stability of the BsAb. Secondly, the Fc region can also perform the Fc mediated functions, which can be desirable add-ons for therapeutic application. Furthermore, using appended IgGs can overcome the nonfunctional molecules problem caused by random assembly of different heavy chains and light chains expressed in the same cells. Appended IgGs have many different antibody forms, and as is listed below, we can offer our clients diverse types of appended IgGs:
