In the field of ophthalmology, most ophthalmic diseases occur due to angiogenesis or vasculogenesis, including wet age-related macular degeneration (wet-AMD), geographic atropy (GA) (dry advanced form), diabetic macular edema, macular edema following Central Retinal Vein Occlusion (CRVO), macular edema following Retinal Vein Occlusion (RVO), Diabetic retinopathy, myopic choroidal neovascularization (myopic CNV), etc. Therefore, factors related to angiogenesis/vasculogenesis are potential targets in immunotherapy of ophthalmic diseases.
